Pre-School Fees and Funding

Admissions

Children can start pre-school from the age of 2 years in our Caterpillar room. Two-Year Funding is available to parents who meet the eligibility criteria for working families funding (30 hours) or families who are on a low income or on certain benefits (15 hours).

Children typically move through to the Butterfly room the term that they turn 3 (subject to availability). We offer 15 hours of free funding (Universal Entitlement) for ALL children the term after their third birthday. These hours can be taken over a morning session (9–12 noon) or a full day (9am-3pm). For example:

Your child can access 5 mornings  at 3 hours per session = 15 hours per week.

Your child can access 2 full days at 6 hours per day, and one morning at 3 hours per session = 15 hours per week.

We also offer the 30-hour extended entitlement. Children can access all their 30-hour funding with us over five full days, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm/8am-2pm (6 hours per day x 5 days= 30 hours) term time only. 30-hour extended entitlement funding can be split between our pre-school and another provider.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club runs from 8am-9am

Parents can access the breakfast club using their funded hours, eg 8am-2pm (full day) or this can be a paid hour at the cost of £6.00 and funded hours can start at 9am.

Purchasing Extra Sessions/hours

Extra sessions, additional to your child's free universal entitlement, can be purchased. For example, if your child attends five mornings per week (15 hours) and you wish for them to stay and access a full day (lunchtime and afternoon until 3pm) you can purchase the additional 3 hours for the cost of £18.00. The additional hours will be subject to availability and may be limited especially in the summer term.

Extra hours can be purchased at a cost of £6 per hour. For example, 8am-9am can be a paid hour with funding starting at 9am- 3pm, or funding can start at 8am-2pm and 2pm-3pm can be a paid hour.
